Orange County Beaches & Parks

BEACHES:

Huntington Beach - Known as "Surf City," Huntington Beach hosts many annual events like the US Open of Pro Surfing.
Laguna Beach - Boasts some superb art festivals that include the Art-A-Fair, Festival of the Arts and Sawdust Art Festival.
Newport Beach - Home to some of the best surf and entertainment around.  Right next door to Newport Beach is Balboa Island.
Parque Del Mar - San Clemente's Main Beach is known for its great year-round weather and spectacular ocean views.
Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point - There is a long decent down a pathway to get to the beach.  Make the final decent and you are in a beach paradise.
Seal Beach - Has plenty of shopping on Main Street, sunbathing on the beach, surfing in the ocean and fishing off the pier.

PARKS:

Edison Viejo - The park connects with both Limestone Canyon and Whiting Ranch.
Laguna Coast Wilderness Park - Has several different "staging areas" or parking lots to choose from. Each staging area is positioned near a trail entrance.
Peters Canyon Regional Park - Is comprised of 354 acres and offers different trails perfect for hiking, mountain biking and wildlife enthusiasts.
Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park - With scenic views and some pretty intense uphill grades, it can be breathtaking.
